THE MONTHLY WOES OF A FEMALE - PMS
B Senthilnathan*, Jennyfer Bejoy, Suruthi L, Maheswaran A

The rationale behind the selection of review on premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is to educate society about the monthly menace of women and to bring attention to its management. Premenstrual syndrome is characterised by a collection of physical, somatic, behavioural and emotional symptoms that reoccur regularly in the luteal phase of menstrual cycle and vanishes completely at the end of menstruation. The aim is to get a clear idea about PMS by studying in detail about its prevalence, etiology, signs and symptoms, diagnosis and management.
