    STIGMA ASSOCIATED WITH COVID-19 AND NEED TO ADDRESS IT

    The COVID-19 outbreak (Coronavirus Disease) has began from Wuhan province of China at the late December-2019 and suddenly gripped entire world under it and has created global health emergency in world including India. COVID-19 has affected general population in many dimension like societal, economical, health and results in deterioration in daily living, physical as well as mental well being. As COVID-19 pandemic is new health emergency in existence, thus has created variety of emotional reactions and unhealthy behavior like unfavorable attitudes towards COVID-19 disease and health care personnel, police force and health hygiene workers working to combat such crisis. Such Stigma associated with COVID-19 may cause fear and stress among public result in prejudice people, communities and social isolation which hampers mitigation of health crisis like COVID-19.
