This study aimed at showing the role of practicing management ââ?¬Å?by walking aroundââ?¬Â on the\norganizational commitment in the Jordanian hospitals among doctors and nurses. The sample\nof the study consisted of (106) male and female doctors, and (440) male and female nurses\nwho work in the public and private hospitals in Jordan. A questionnaire was developed to measure the variables of the study which consists of (71) items; (35) items which measure\npractice managementââ?¬Â by walking aroundââ?¬Â and (15) items to measure the organizational\ncommitment. Means, standard deviation and multiple regression tests were used to answer the\nquestions of the study and test its hypothesis. The main results of the study are as follows:\n- The degree of the doctors and nursesââ?¬â?¢ practice of management ââ?¬Å?by walking aroundââ?¬Â in the\nJordanian was medium.\n- The level of the organizational commitment of the doctors and nurse was medium.\n- There was statically significant impact for practicing management ââ?¬Å?by walking aroundââ?¬Â\non the organizational commitment of the doctors and nurses at the Jordanian hospitals.\nIn the light of the study results, the study presented a set of recommendations: Encourage the\ndoctors and nurses to practice management ââ?¬Å?by walking aroundââ?¬Â, and to cooperate with the\nmanagers to make the work successful. In addition to provide the individuals (employees)\nwith training programs that help them to improve their skills in practicing management ââ?¬Å?by\nwalking aroundââ?¬Â which enhances making relations based on the mutual respect and trust\nbetween the manager and the employees....

The purpose of this paper is to explore the realities of the e-government as well as to examine\r\nthe challenges and complexities of its implementation in the context of Jordanian society.\r\nA brief analysis of Jordanian published e-government vision and strategy is presented\r\ntogether with a review of relevant literature as related to national and international reports as\r\nwell as some working papers. This study examined the causal relationship among transactional leadership and transformational leadership as\r\nwell as dimensions of trust and organizational commitment, and confirmed cognitive trust and affective trust play\r\nmediators between leadership and organizational commitment from Taiwan�s hotel employees� perceptive. Results\r\nshowed that transformational leadership had positive influences on cognitive and affective trust. Transactional\r\nleadership had negative effect on cognitive trust. Cognitive trust had positive effect on continuance commitment.\r\nAffective trust had positive influences on normative and affective commitment. Cognitive trust played a full mediator\r\nbetween transformational leadership and continuance commitment. Affective trust played a partial mediator between\r\ntransformational leadership and normative commitment as well as between transformational leadership and affective\r\ncommitment....
There has been no shortage of definitions of conflict. But despite the divergent meanings the team has acquired, several common themes underlie most definitions. Conflict must be perceived by the parties to it; whether or not conflict exists is a perception issue. If no one is aware of a conflict, then it is generally agreed no conflict exists. Additional commonalities in the definitions are opposition or incompatibility and some form of interaction. These factors set the conditions that determine the beginning points of the conflict process. We can define conflict then; A process that begins when one party perceives that another party has negatively affected or is about to negativity affect, something the first party cares about. Conflict must be perceived by the parties to it; whether or not conflict exists is a perception issue. If no one is aware of a conflict, then it is generally agreed no conflict exists. The conflict process can be seen as comprising five stages : potential opposition or incompatibility, cognition and personalization, intentions, behavior, and outcomes. Common source of conflict for an individual is a goal which has both positive and negative features, or two or more competing goals. three separate types of goal conflict are generally identified :Approach-approach conflict, Approach-avoidance conflict and Avoidance-avoidance conflict. a major management effort should be devoted to building compatibility, not conflict, between personal and organizational goals....
