    A compound curette for removing tissue samples and delivering liquid and anti-pathogen to the treated area includes a hollow handle that fits a reservoir with a medicated or cosmeceutical solution. The scraping end of the curette is made of a metal or hard plastic and is covered in anti-pathogen material. The composition is designed to allow all ingredients to become available for skin contact or skin absorption when the fatty substance softens and/or melts as the composition is applied to the skin. The benzoyl peroxide may be pre-micronized to a particle distribution size of about d.sub.90 of 0.1 to 150 microns, preferably d.sub.90 of 10 to 15 microns. Further, pharmaceutical or cosmetic ingredients may be contained within the fatty substances, with or without, benzoyl peroxide therein or may be present outside of the fatty substance but elsewhere within formulated pharmaceutical or cosmetic products using the active ingredients protected by the fatty substance. These compositions are useful in aqueous-based formulations to treat diseases by topical, transdermal and/or subcutaneous administration.

    To provide an oil-in-water emulsion skin care cosmetic composition which, without the addition of a pharmaceutical agent and a film-forming agent or the like thereto, effects an excellent elastic or resilient feeling to skin and is excellent in non-stickiness and stability. An oil-in-water emulsion skin care cosmetic composition, comprising (a) a paraffin wax and/or a polyethylene wax, (b) a microcrystalline wax, and (c) an animal/plant-derived wax which contains, as the main ingredient thereof, an ester of a higher fatty acid having from 20 to 32 carbon atoms and an alcohol having from 28 to 34 carbon atoms, and has a melting point of from 75 to 100.degree. C., in which the ratio of component (a) to component (b) is from 70/30 to 95/5 (by mass).

The one-way valve has a valve seat, and a visco-elastic valve cover seated on the valve seat and defining a normally-closed, axially-extending seam therebetween forming a fluid-tight seal between the valve cover and valve seat. The flexible valve cover is movable relative to the valve seat, and the seam is connectable in fluid communication with the outlet aperture to allow the passage of product through the seam and out of the dispenser. An actuator is drivingly connected to the compression chamber for pressurizing product within the compression chamber and dispensing an amount of product within the compression chamber.
