A lower resistance band is attached to the lower resistance device with a handle on each end. A back support is mounted to the vertical support. A chest support is mounted above the abdominal support. A head support is mounted to the vertical support with an upper resistance device mounted below the head support. An upper resistance band is attached to the upper resistance device with a handle on each end. A pair of arms extends from the vertical support. The resistance bands provide resistance to the user thereby toning and strengthening user's body improving both posture and range of motion.

  • STRETCH AND COMPRESS MUSCLE EXERCISE AND SIMULTANEOUS AEROBIC AND STRENGTH TRAINING EXERCISE METHOD FOR MOTIONLESS PATIENT OR NON-PATIENT [...] AS APPLIED TO ALZHEIMER, PARKINSON AND CANCER STUDIES

Aerobic exercise and strength training exercise are simultaneously provided to the body of a motionless patient or non-patient, to gradually increase body strength, increase elasticities of limb arteries, veins and adjacent muscles, reduce heart workload, increase whole body blood flow, provide more oxygen and nutrients to the whole body, increase the rate of removal of cell waste products, to treat, prevent, reduce the rate of progression and reduce the risk of recurrence of diseases and conditions of the whole body. Apparatus provides stretching and compressing muscle exercise for hips, shoulders and limbs of motionless patient or non-patient. A new scientific explanation of aerobic exercise, e.g. walking, is provided which shows the sequence of events within the body during aerobic exercise which causes whole-body benefits shown in hundreds of aerobic exercise studies. The explanation is applied to Alzheimer, Parkinson and Cancer studies to explain the results of the studies.

  • Multi-Directional Adjustable Exercise Slide Board

An exercise apparatus providing a base having a top surface and a bottom surface, wherein the top surface is smooth and planar. The top surface includes a first plurality of apertures arranged in a circular pattern having a first diameter, and a second plurality of apertures arranged in a circular pattern having a second diameter. A plurality of repositional stops are further provided including mounting posts for securing the repositional stops within any of the first and second plurality of apertures.

  • PROJECTED VISUAL CUES FOR GUIDING PHYSICAL MOVEMENT

Physical movement of a human subject may be guided by a visual cue. A physical environment may be observed to identify a current position of a body portion of the human subject. A model path of travel may be obtained for the body portion of the human subject. The visual cue may be projected onto the human subject and/or into a field of view of the human subject. The visual cue may indicate the model path of travel for the body portion of the human subject.

  • APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR THERAPEUTIC SPINAL TREATMENT

An apparatus and method for applying therapeutic spinal treatment to a patient has an anchor that connects to a first portion of the patients body above the cervical spine area. The anchor substantially fixes the location of that portion in the apparatus and a movable interface is provided in the apparatus with which the patient is adapted to interact with an operative part of his body. Movement of the movable interface together with the operative part of the patient's body imposes upon at least a second portion of the patients body that is below the first portion movement at the spine.

  • Stimulating Learning Through Exercise

An exercise system stimulates the learning and memory of a user by detecting a stress level of the user with one or more biometric sensor devices, determining that the user's stress level is within a stress zone that is suitable for memory retention by the user, and presenting educational content to the user at one or more output devices.

  • IN-FIELD KITS AND SYSTEMS FOR SELF-DIRECTED THERAPUTIC PULLEY-BASED MUSCLE REHABILIATION METHODS

In-field kits and systems for self-directed therapeutic pulley-based muscle rehabilitation methods. The in-field kit and system comprises ring-shaped fasteners that can be removably coupled to preselected locations on a stationary structure, such as a chain link fence. Pulleys are coupled to the ring-shaped fasteners and an inelastic tether spans the pulleys. The tether has a proximal end portion to which a handle is coupled and a distal end portion to which a weight is coupled. The weight and pulleys provide resistance when a person uses the handle to perform any one of a multiplicity of exercise routines. Use of the invention obviates a need to have a physical therapist present at all times during rehabilitation of an injured user because the invention is a pulley-based system usable at home or at an athletic field.

  • Method for Indicating Physiological Stress Level and Recovery from Stress and Device to be Utilized in Method

A method and device arrangement are for indicating a state of overstress in a nervous muscular system. An interference current, the frequency and current strength of which can be adjusted, is fed into a part of the nervous muscular system. Those adjustment values of the interference current are stored, which cause one of a set of predetermined physical sensations in the examined part of the nervous muscular system. A measurement-specific average of the strength of the interference current is calculated for each predetermined physical response or sensation in the examined part of the examined nervous muscular system. The measurement-specific average of the interference current for each physical sensation is normalised and a state of overstress of the nervous muscular system is indicated, if the measurement-specific normalised average of the interference current of the physical sensation does not fulfil a set statistical criteria.
