Antimicrobial activity of aqueous, ethanol, methanol and chloroform leaf extracts of V.cinerea was evaluated against Enterobacter aerogenes, E.coli, Streptococcus aureus, Proteus vulgaris, Helicobacter pylori, Candida albicans, Aspergillus flavus, and Trichosporan asahi, at different concentrations of 25 µg, 50 µg, 75 µg and 100 µg respectively. Chloramphenicol and Ketoconazole were used as positive control. The results obtained showed that all the extracts exhibited antimicrobial activity. Among the extracts the ethanol extract exhibited more significant activity against most of the pathogens.
