Anemia affects one third of the world population. It negatively affects on productive and reproductive health of women. Main objective of this research was to find out prevalence of anemia and associated risk factors among female undergraduate and postgraduate students of Anand. Female undergraduate and postgraduate students were evaluated for Hb level using Hb colour scale, associated risk factors and impact of socio-demographic status were evaluated. Total 390 participants were included. Majority (67.95%) of participants were found anemic. In anemic girls, majority (45.66%) of them belonged to age range of 20-22 years, 52.70% belonging to upper middle class, 65.66% of them residing in urban area, 78.48% were taking vegetarian diet, 74.72% having 3-5 days of bleeding during menstruation cycle and 84.53% were having high fast-food intake. Age, Socio-economic status, diet, locality, fast food intake and longer menstruation cycles were found as a major risk factor for anemia in college girls of Anand.
