Administration of drugs to children and elderly is not always easy when there is cases of API like antibiotics, analgesics and antidiabetics in which large amount is required to administer then it results in to dosage form which is difficult to swallow orally by paediatrics and geriatrics. Dose Sipping (DS) Technology administering tasteless granules to patients by forming in-situ suspensions in the patient’s favorite beverage requires a complex development of a drinking straw. Each straw contains a single dose of small coated granules containing the prescribed amount of API in a suitably taste masked formulation. Each drinking straw system is individually packed and only removed for oral administration in-situ, while the patient drinks beverages using the straw as they are using every day drinking straw. In this way, there is no need to redisperse the powder or granules prior to administration. While sipping the beverage passes the movable controller and suspends the granules in-situ on the way to the patient’s mouth. After swallowing the suspension complete application of the drug can be checked by looking whether the controller has reached the upper end of the tube.
