‘Make in India’, a major national initiative which focuses on making India as a global manufacturing hub and manufacturing leader in a field of global production network because India’s economy in the world is gearing up for growth. Key thrust of this program is bring about sustainable development on manufacturing projects clearance, develop adequate infrastructure and make it easier for companies to do business in India. The key sectors identified under the program include automobiles, auto components, bio-technology, chemicals, de-manufacturing, electronic systems, food processing, leather, mining, oil and gas, ports, railways, ports and textile. The objective of the mega program is to ensure that manufacturing sector would connect with global production which contributes around 15% of the country’s Gross Domestic Products is increased to 25% in next few years. Five major types of connective nodes in supply networks: Local integrator, Export base, Import base, International spanner and Global integrator.
