The spread of SARS-CoV-2 can be considered one of the most complicated patterns with a
large number of uncertainties and nonlinearities. Therefore, analysis and prediction of the distribution
of this virus are one of the most challenging problems, affecting the planning and managing of
its impacts. Although different vaccines and drugs have been proved, produced, and distributed
one after another, several new fast-spreading SARS-CoV-2 variants have been detected. This is why
numerous techniques based on artificial intelligence (AI) have been recently designed or redeveloped
to forecast these variants more effectively. The focus of such methods is on deep learning (DL) and
machine learning (ML), and they can forecast nonlinear trends in epidemiological issues appropriately.
This short review aims to summarize and evaluate the trustworthiness and performance
of some important AI-empowered approaches used for the prediction of the spread of COVID-19.
Sixty-five preprints, peer-reviewed papers, conference proceedings, and book chapters published
in 2020 were reviewed. Our criteria to include or exclude references were the performance of these
methods reported in the documents. The results revealed that although methods under discussion in
this review have suitable potential to predict the spread of COVID-19, there are still weaknesses and
drawbacks that fall in the domain of future research and scientific endeavors....
Simulating the flight of dragonflies has always attracted scientists’ interest. This paper studies the theory and method of the
transmission mechanism of dragonfly robot, establishes the relationship function model between wing swing angle and
geometric parameters, and designs a kind of gear and rod mechanism transmission chain, including a pair of wing angle
turnover mechanism, so that the wings swing smoothly, no jam phenomenon occurs, and improves the lift ratio. In this paper,
the dynamic principle of Bionic Flapping Wing robot was analyzed, and the design scheme of driving mechanism is put
forward; the project realizes the three-dimensional design of robot parts, the virtual digital prototype and simulation, and 3D
printing of the prototype robot. During the design and manufacture, the lightweight design and processing of the fuselage and
wings are carried out to reduce its weight. The drive circuit and algorithm are designed with 8051 chip as the CPU; the
balance and attitude control methods are proposed....
Social media is one of the most revolutionary innovations in computer science that facilitates connecting people in the world to
share information, ideas, and thoughts. In recent years, social media has demonstrated tremendous growth, which has affected
individuals, businesses, communities, and economies. The focus of the present study is to identify the impact of social media on
geopolitics and economic growth. The study is based on a systematic review of previous literature on the subject. It has been
revealed through the findings that social media impacts geopolitics by decreasing the level of censorship and increasing the spread
of news or information, while it also enables the politicians to influence individuals over online social networks through the great
level of access. On the other hand, it has been identified that social media has both positive and negative impacts on geopolitics and
economic growth. Social media is able to unite diverse groups and individuals spread across the planet dedicated to specific issues.
The formation of communities and the ability of social media to unite groups show how social media could contribute positively to
geopolitics and economic growth. But it decreases the productivity level of the individuals; on the other hand, it does contain the
potential to create a participatory economy, which can be beneficial for a particular country. Some argue that social sharing has
encouraged people to use computers and mobile phones to express their concerns on social issues without actually having to
engage actively with campaigns in real life. Their support is limited to pressing the “Like” button or sharing content. This study
performs a thorough study selection exercise and a quality assessment to ensure that the present study is valuable to academia and
the relevant stakeholders, especially the experts of computer science who can develop the smartest artificial intelligence and
cognitive computing tools that can help mitigate those risks of social media for the geopolitically volatile, uncertain, complex, and
ambiguous world and ensure smooth economic growth....
In order to avoid injuries caused by incorrect running posture to a greater extent and reduce the impact on athletes’ performance
and physical health, on the basis of artificial intelligence sensors, the author studies the accurate detection of intelligent running
motion posture. Using artificial intelligence sensors, an adaptive error quaternion unscented Kalman filter (DAUKF) algorithm is
designed. The attitude analysis and recognition system based on the inertial measurement unit can not only measure the motion
information of human body but also obtain the motion characteristic data and movement state of the human body through the
analysis of posture data. Use the error quaternion and gyroscope drift error to establish the equation of state, the measurement
values of the accelerometer and magnetometer are used to establish the observation equation, and the fading memory method
is introduced to adaptively adjust the observation noise covariance, so as to reduce the interference of the system itself and the
environment on attitude detection. Experimental results show that the proposed method improves the attitude detection
accuracy, effectively suppresses the influence of drift error and dynamic observation noise, and provides a foot attitude
detection scheme suitable for long-distance running....
Emotional expression is an essential and important link in human social activities and daily communication activities. Emotion
recognition is a technology that uses computer technology to recognize the emotion of recognized objects. When emotion
recognition technology was born, the research on human emotion recognition mainly focused on single-modal emotion
recognition. Single-modal emotion recognition has been the most commonly used emotion recognition method. However, in
recent years, with the continuous development of science and technology and the continuous improvement of people’s
awareness of the defects of single-modal emotion recognition, the research on multimodal emotion recognition is increasingly
emerging. This paper is aimed at analyzing and studying the multimodal emotion recognition algorithm in artificial
intelligence information system. Based on this research topic, this paper designs a single-modal and multimodal emotion
recognition comparison simulation experiment for the four emotional characteristics of happiness, sadness, shock, and anger
extracted from artificial intelligence information systems. The experiment concluded that the comprehensive emotion
recognition accuracy rate of the multimodal emotion recognition algorithm in the artificial intelligence information system
reached 93%. Compared with single-mode emotion recognition, the comprehensive recognition accuracy is improved by 7%....
