The notion of conflict has been extensively examined in the organisational behaviour literature. The presented\nreport critically examines the literature and uses the example of the Northern Plant to highlight the complexities\nassociated with the task of managing conflict. Building on the assumption that although conflict in organisations\ncannot be avoided but it can be managed, the critical discussion here illustrates the failure of measures commonly\napplied by human resource and change managers to address conflict in organisations. The study examined the issue of innovation with a focus on innovative diversified network in\nTanzania service firms. The study aim was to assess the effect of diversified network which\nregarded as innovation strategy in firmâ??s innovation performance. By empirically tested\nnetwork variables named collaboration, information exploration and exploitation and\ntechnology acquisition. The regression results indicated information exploration and\nexploitation to be highly significant network over collaboration and technical acquisition in\nservice firms in Tanzania. This imply that the service firms in Tanzania are tend to rely on\ninformation exploitation and exploration network compared to other networks such as\ncollaboration and technology acquisition. This study was conducted in two phases; first as a survey and second as a case study. The\nstudy used a cross-sectional survey design to explain the business characteristics influencing\nthe selection of investment evaluation techniques among Tanzanian SMEs. Purposive\nsampling technique was used to collect data to a sample of 301 SMEs drawn from SIDO in\nDar es Salaam and Dodoma regions. Data were collected though questionnaires and\ntransformed into suitable format for analysis using statistical packages for the survey, while\nfor the case study interviews were used. Statistical techniques used in this study were\ndescriptive (frequency distributions) and inferential statistics (multivariate analysis) which\nwere used to determine whether or not there is a relationship between business characteristics\nand selection of investment evaluation techniques. Results of this study shows that, sales\ngrowth, industry of business, level of education and finance education of owners, were the\nbusiness characteristics that influence the selection of investment evaluation techniques.\nTheoretical and practical contributions in the area of investment decisions for SMEs in\nTanzania are made based on the findings of the study. On theoretical contributions, the study provided a better understanding on small business characteristics and how they influenced the\nselection of investment evaluation techniques. On practical contributions, owners should\nmaintain high sales growth; improve education background by attending short courses on\nfinancial management, because these two characteristics significantly affect the selection of\ninvestment evaluation techniques....

Relationship marketing focuses on the needs and wants of consumers, and consumer co-value creation. Studies in relationship marketing have however focused on private sector engagements, and with consistent findings that its practice is usually undertaken from a production, instead of value co-creation perspective. This paper reviews literature on relationship marketing, and teases potentials for relationship marketing in public sector organisations. It sum mates that relationship marketing would be appropriate for public sector organisations if metrics for its measurement are localized. The following study aims at exploring the implementation of MAPs in the Small and medium\nenterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia and focuses on identifying the relationship that exists\nbetween the MAPs and SMEs. There is limited research conducted on the MAPs being\nimplemented in the SMEs, which is apparent in this study. As a part of the research\nmethodology, a survey was conducted with the SMEs in the manufacturing sector of\nMalaysia. The research article demonstrates that the involvement and implementation of\nMAPs differ in different organisations; it ranges from the traditional approach to a more\nsophisticated approach in its implementation. The most commonly used accounting\npractices for management in the organisations include performance management system\nand costing systems. On the other hand, in terms of sophisticated approach, the larger\norganisations frequently make use of the MAPs in accordance with the theoretical\narguments that are made in the context of the impact of size in adopting such practices. The\nfindings of the study also indicate that there are certain MAPs that are related to the\norganisational performance. These practices hold a significant relationship with the\nproductivity and performance of SMEs, which has helped in reinforcing the significance of\nsuch practices in todayâ??s business environment....
