The present research analyses the influence of both characteristics and management\nmethods of female CEOs on organizational practice and innovation. This qualitative and\ncomprehensive study looks at 105 female CEOs of big international companies in 2014. The\nresearch results suggest that the characteristics of female CEOs lead to a specific management\nstyle which in turn influences organizational practice, promoting diversity and innovation in\nthe workplace. The theoretical hypotheses validated by empirical research have enabled the\ndevelopment of a mathematical model which demonstrates how either the personal\ncharacteristics or professional practices of female CEOs could determine innovation....
The large number of studies published in the last ten years on the problem of customers\nmigrating from one telecommunications service provider to another competing provider\nproves that this problem has become a major concern for this industry and beyond. The\npurpose of this paper is to detect which variables from the multitude presented in the data\nset for postpaid clients, represents an important driver in the problem of migrating customers\nto another Romanian mobile telecommunications company. To enable us to understand and\nsolve the problem of churn in telecommunications, we need tools that can interpret the\nresults. Thus, we use a Balanced Random Forest for the churn model and three feature\nselection tools: Permutation Importance, Partial Dependence Plot and SHAP. Applying them\nto the churn model, we classify the predictive indicators according to their importance, their\npredictive power and the distribution of the impact that each characteristic has in the model.\nAccording to the Permutation Importance, the drivers regarding churn issue are: the number\nof months since the last offer was changed from the account, the number of minutes\nconsumed outside the company, the value of the invoice, the age of the customer and his time\nat this telecommunications operator. Partially Dependence Plot determinates the churn risk\nareas faced by the Romanian telecommunications company for each of the indicators listed,\nsuch as: clients with younger ages or with outdated offers (unchanged for almost two years).\nSHAP also shows that many months since the last offer, a significant percentage of minutes\nreceived from competing networks or a small age in the network, increases the estimated\nchurn per customer....

The synergy between the business sector and human rights is becoming increasingly visible\nin the second decade of the 21st century. It is worth mentioning that it is entrepreneurs\nthemselves who are petitioning for the introduction of specific legal instruments providing\nappropriate protection against abuse by public authorities. On the other hand, human rights\nmust become an effective instrument in dealing with all forms of lawlessness and abuse by\nprivate commercial entities in order to facilitate effective legal protection. This article\npresents the issue of the implementation of human rights standards into business and\nbusiness ethics in broad terms, largely by illustrating an analysis of regional systemic\ndifficulties related to abuse in the healthcare sector in the Polish legal system. The standards\nstemming from human rights are used as instruments facilitating deliberations on the\nreality at hand and the description of specific events. The article follows the case study\nresearch method focusing on confronting the conceptual framework with specific cases. The\nmethod of legal text exegesis following the stream of derivative interpretation, based on a\nnormative concept, which proposes specific interpretation strategies according to the\ncharacteristics of legal texts, was employed as an auxiliary tool....
Globally, the challenges of the oil and gas industry are unique due to the nature of its operations that is full of risks.\nIssues like volatile market prices, health and safety, environmental performance and high cost of production are\naffecting the operational performance of the sector. These problems if left unchecked could change the level of\nproduction and revenue generation to the Malaysian government and would as well influence the countryâ??s regional\nposition in oil and gas production. As a result, many oil and gas firms including PETRONAS adopted operational excellence\nstrategy, but some of the challenges kept re-occurring. It is against this circumstance that this research is aimed\nat determining the effect of enterprise risk management determinants on operational excellence in the Malaysian oil\nand gas industry. It is also aimed at exploring the mediating effect of enterprise risk management implementation\non such a relationship. The article used a conceptual approach where journal articles, conference papers, professional\nreports, thesis and term papers were reviewed. Conceptual and theoretical frameworks were proposed in this paper,\nand literature was reviewed to lay a foundation for empirical research that would establish the relationship between\nthe postulated variables in the study. Dimensions and measurement of the variables in the current study were drawn\nfrom earlier researches and recommendations. However, data were not collected, and a result of the analysis was not\npresented in the paper....
