Deceptive advertisement is one of the conventional approaches that unethical\nbusiness organizations seek to increase their product demand. Deceptive advertisement\nthrough the media has been on the rise, which is detrimental to\nboth the companies and the consumers. The researcher ran a survey using the\ncase of Delta Soap advertisement to assess how it influences consumer demand\nand organization reputation. There was a unanimous agreement from\nthe study participants that false marketing strategies negatively affect business\nsales in the long term and diminish consumer trust. Most consumers eventually\nbecome aware of businesses that use deceptive marketing techniques\nand ultimately avoid purchasing such products....
This study described and determined the presence of the â??Made in Chinaâ?\nproducts and its impact on the tiangge business in Cabanatuan City. The\nfindings of the study revealed that most of the respondents acquired their\nknowledge in tiangge business from their parents, in which Ready To Wear\n(RTW) was the type of product that was mostly being sold. Moreover, the\nnature of tiangge business was mobile vending, with a rental fee of......................
One-way substitution means that when low-end brand goods are sold out, high-end brand goods can be offered to consumers as\nsubstitute goods, but not the opposite. In realistic economic activity, â??shortage of fundsâ? is a common practical problem for the\nretailer in making order decision. This paper proposes a nonlinear optimization model with the retailerâ??s budget to study the\noptimal order quantities and substitution discount for two one-way substitution products under a stochastic demand scenario,\nand the objective is to maximize the retailerâ??s revenue. We solve the model mainly according to the Karushâ??Kuhnâ??Tucker (KKT)\ntheorem and present the conditions of optimal decisions. Finally, through the numerical study, we analyze the influence of the\nbudget constraint and other parameters on the optimal solutions....
Previous research have distinguished the risks of supply chain disruptions and the\nnegative effect of supply chain disruption on operational performance in terms of\nsales, costs and inventory. However, few researchers have studied supply chain risk\nmanagement and strategies in relation to port conflicts. The 2016 port conflict at a\nmajor logistics port in Scandinavia, the Port of Gothenburg, posed an opportunity to\nstudy risk management and strategies in the context of major port disruptions, in\nthis case, a labour conflict. The fashion retail industry was affected especially hard\ndue to the short product life cycles and this paper, by means of case study method\nand analysis, investigates five cases in order to understand how they were affected\nand what mitigation strategies was used. Results illustrates that during the port\nconflict, the percentage of increase in logistics cost ranged between 15% and 70%,\ngreatly affected by what mitigation strategy was used by the case company....
The lagged time on goodwill is a common phenomenon in the process of quality improvement, which plays an important role in\nmaking quality strategy of supply chain. With increasing public attention to quality, supply chain quality management has become\na research focus in recent years. This paper probes into the lagged time of quality on goodwill under the competitive environment\nof retailers and constructs a lagged differential equation of quality on goodwill based on the Nerloveâ??Arrow model. The results\nindicate that the optimal goodwill and quality are higher under centralized decision-making than under decentralized decisionmaking;\nhowever, whether or not the profit of the entire supply chain is higher under centralized decision-making depends on the\nspan of the lagged time. Under decentralized decision-making, the lagged time of product quality on goodwill is favorable to\nretailers but unfavorable to manufacturers and vice versa. Therefore, when competition is low, a supply chain tends to adopt\ncentralized decision-making. When competition is intense, it is appropriate for a supply chain to adopt decentralized decisionmaking.\nIn conclusion, this paper analyzes the effects of the lagged time on the optimal quality level and supply chain profit as well\nas the effect of the competition coefficient on research findings concerning supply chain profit under centralized and decentralized\ndecision-making to verify the relevant conclusions of this paper....
This paper reviews theoretical and empirical evidence relating to the effectiveness\nof negative emotional advertising appeals in marketing. Through the\nreview of research, it figures out when and why negative emotional appeals\nwork in advertising. According to the research, the common negative emotions\nin advertisements are fear, guilt, sadness and anger. And the Elaboration\nLikelihood Model, Self-brand Connection Theory, Cognitive Dissonance\nTheory and so on are regarded as main explaining mechanisms of the effect.\nFurther, the influence factors of the negative emotional appealsâ?? effect are\nsummarized, too. Finally, this paper presents the possible ideas in future research....
