In this paper, we introduce and analyze a mixed discontinuous Galerkin method for the Helmholtz equation. The mixed\ndiscontinuous Galerkin method is designed by using a discontinuous..................
In this paper, a modified Polak-Ribiere-Polyak conjugate gradient projection\nmethod is proposed for solving large scale nonlinear convex constrained\nmonotone equations based on the projection method of Solodov and Svaiter.\nThe obtained method has low-complexity property and converges globally.\nFurthermore, this method has also been extended to solve the sparse signal\nreconstruction in compressive sensing. Numerical experiments illustrate the\nefficiency of the given method and show that such non-monotone method is\nsuitable for some large scale problems....
We characterize spheres and the tori, the product of the two plane circles immersed in the\nthree-dimensional unit sphere, which are associated with the Laplace operator and the Gauss map defined\nby the elliptic linear Weingarten metric defined on closed surfaces in the three-dimensional sphere....
This article provides a closed form solution to the telegrapherâ??s equation with\nthree space variables defined on a subset of a sphere within two radii, two\nazimuthal angles and one polar angle. The Dirichlet problem for general\nboundary conditions is solved in detail, on the basis of which Neumann and\nRobin conditions are easily handled. The solution to the simpler problem in\ncylindrical coordinates is also provided. Ways to efficiently implement the\nformulae are explained. Minor adjustments result in solutions to the wave\nequation and to the heat equation on the same domain as well, since the latter\nare particular cases of the more general telegrapherâ??s equation....
This paper is concerned with some chaotic properties of a kind of coupled\nmap lattices, which is proposed by Kaneko. First, this research discussed the\nsensitivity, infinite sensitivity, transitivity, accessibility, densely Li-Yorke sensitivity\nand exact of coupled map lattices. Then, some sufficient conditions\nunder which................
