Veti gel is plant based polymer act by forming mesh when exposed to blood or tissue. Mesh quickly collect fibrin a blood clotting protein and remaining mesh can be left in wound to be absorbed by the body as it heals. VETIGELâ?¢ Hemostatic Gel (\"VETIGELâ?¢\") is a single-use, prescription hemostatic gel for veterinary use only. VETIGELâ?¢ can help control bleeding in animals by achieving hemostasis in seconds. Hydrogel is made up of water, gelatin and mixing of proteins and other chemical. It was designed to be as close as possible in structure to human connective tissue. Hydrogels are used for producing contact lenses, hygiene products and wound dressings. Other commercial uses of hydrogels are in drug delivery and tissue engineering. There are so many anti- bleeding agents like Tranexamic Acid, Omega-aminocaproic acid, Aprotinin which are very helpful but Antigels are more useful because clotting formation timing is less compare than anti bleeding agents. More developments are expected in drug delivery and tissue engineering Vetigel and Hydrogel are not approved for the human use yet....
