The present study was thus designed to monitor and explore the incidence of ADRs to various antiretroviral therapy (ART) regimens in a tertiary care ART setup. Antiretroviral therapy (ART) has reduced HIV morbidity and mortality worldwide but has many adverse effects. These adverse drug reactions (ADRs) lead to discontinuations, disease progression or treatment failure. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the incidence of adverse effects in patients using Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) in HIV-infected patients. This is a prospective observational study eligible for all the patients receiving ART therapy that were monitored at ART center between 2016 may-2018 mar conducted at Sri Venkateswara Ramnarayanruya Government General Hospital (SVRRGGH), Tirupati. Out of 510 patients 120 ADRs has been observed. Females were more represented with 75%. The drug regimen which represented more ADRs were found to be ZLN (54.16%) followed by TLE (44.16%) and LR/TL (1.66%). Highest ADR in system wise classification was found in CNS (29.16%) followed by GI (25%), dermatology (16.66%) hematology (15%), metabolic (12.5%) and renal system (1.66%). Adverse effects of antiretrovirals are frequent and could be life-threatening in short and long terms. Regular follow-up of patients receiving these triple therapies and the associated complications, is essential. Thus, the findings of our study suggest that the treating clinicians must focus on early detection and prevention of ADRs in HIV infected patients receiving ART that will help to modify their drug regimens and to provide better adherence to antiretroviral therapy....
Sacral Agenesis which is also known as Caudal Regression Syndrome is a congenital abnormality, which affects the sacrum, the part of spine just above the coccyx. The exact cause of the Sacral Agenesis is not known. An increased incidence of Sacral Agenesis has been associated with maternal diabetes. It is believed that Sacral Agenesis forms during the third to eighth week of foetal development possibly due to some form of toxic or infective damage when this part of the spine is starting to develop. Sacral Agenesis may lead to various symptoms such as urinary incontinence, lower limb deformities. Paediatric population affected with Sacral Agenesis require complex medical care and surgical interventions such as spinal pelvic fusion. Early intervention is important to prevent various complications of Sacral Agenesis....

So, proper intervention must be made in time to prevent involvement of the entire Gastro Intestinal Tract (GIT) and further complications....
