With the continuous development of social economy, more and more attention is paid to the safety of power systems. However, since the power system involves a wide range of areas, how to effectively maintain power safety is extremely important. (e AI image recognition technology is introduced to effectively identify the relevant signal lamps, digital instrument panels, switch positions, etc., of power equipment and sort out the specific identification process. Simulation experiments prove that AI image recognition is effective and can support the application of power systems....
This study investigates the economic benefits of energy efficiency to petroleum refineries regarding Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), Ghana. The study explores lessons relating to the cost of production, energy recovery levels and economic fortunes of the refinery activities and designs a conceptual framework for improving the energy efficiency of Tema Oil Refinery (TOR). The study adopted a descriptive design using a quantitative approach to provide a statistical background to investigate the economic benefits of energy efficiency. A sample of 84 was adopted for study from a staff population of 520 working at Tema Oil refinery. In addition to primary data, secondary data on energy supply and consumption values from 2008 to 2019 was gathered. For the primary survey, 84 respondents were sampled from TOR and a structured questionnaire was used to retrieve information. A correlation analysis at P < 0.05 was conducted to test the relationship and significance of energy efficiency and economic benefits to the refinery. The study concludes that there is a linear trend between energy production (supply) and energy consumption. The energy generated in the entire economy of Ghana far exceeds the amount of energy consumed thus raising issues of waste or excesses that calls for better policies and management plan to improve EE. The study also identified that issues of lost energy are critical to the operations of the petroleum industry as the situation is compounded by the inability of the refineries to explore better ways to reduce and manage the waste. The study concludes that a significant and positive correlation between energy efficiency and the economic fortunes of Tema Oil Refinery is necessary for its economic fortunes. The supply of energy should have equivalence to the public consumption of energy....
Low-carbon society is calling for advanced electrochemical energy storage and conversion systems and techniques, in which functional electrode materials are a core factor. As a new member of the material family, two-dimensional amorphous nanomaterials (2D ANMs) are booming gradually and show promising application prospects in electrochemical fields for extended specific surface area, abundant active sites, tunable electron states, and faster ion transport capacity. Specifically, their flexible structures provide significant adjustment room that allows readily and desirable modification. Recent advances have witnessed omnifarious manipulation means on 2D ANMs for enhanced electrochemical performance. Here, this review is devoted to collecting and summarizing the manipulation strategies of 2D ANMs in terms of component interaction and geometric configuration design, expecting to promote the controllable development of such a new class of nanomaterial. Our view covers the 2D ANMs applied in electrochemical fields, including battery, supercapacitor, and electrocatalysis, meanwhile we also clarify the relationship between manipulation manner and beneficial effect on electrochemical properties. Finally, we conclude the review with our personal insights and provide an outlook for more effective manipulation ways on functional and practical 2D ANMs....
This paper presents the optimization of the PV/battery system including extrapolation of the electrical demand. Matlab software was chosen to implement the algorithm. PVC, the number of PV modules and battery capacity increase with increasing electrical demand. This makes it possible to predict the device according to the electrical demand. Particle swarm optimization is used to minimize the total cost of the system over 20 years. The average cost of energy is $0.369/kWh....
Image analysis of power equipment has important practical significance for power-line inspection and maintenance. +is paper proposes an image recognition method for power equipment based on multitask sparse representation. In the feature extraction stage, based on the two-dimensional (2D) random projection algorithm, multiple projection matrices are constructed to obtain the multilevel features of the image. In the classification process, considering that the image acquisition process will inevitably be affected by factors such as light conditions and noise interference, the proposed method uses the multitask compressive sensing algorithm (MtCS) to jointly represent multiple feature vectors to improve the accuracy and robustness of reconstruction. In the experiment, the images of three types of typical power equipment of insulators, transformers, and circuit breakers are classified. +e correct recognition rate of the proposed method reaches 94.32%. In addition, the proposed method can maintain strong robustness under the conditions of noise interference and partial occlusion, which further verifies its effectiveness....
