Reliability function, R(t), is defined as the probability that the system will not fail during the stated\r\nperiod of time under a given operating conditions. In production process, attaining reliability as a\r\nfunction of time is a common task but in multi-stage services, it is not straightforward due to intricacy\r\nof gathering data. Through the present work, we have addressed a systematic method for measuring\r\nmulti-stage service reliability function using failure rate analysis beside a systematic six sigma\r\napproach to improve total system reliability. The proposed methodology furthermore could help\r\npractitioners to integrate six sigma metrics with the reliability function and the way to measure existing\r\nreliability situation based on sigma level. The proposed method is applied in a given multi-stage central\r\nrepairing shop for an automobile producer which promotes 86% in total system reliability beside 58%\r\nimprovement in the sigma level....
The car market in India is increasing by leaps and bounds. Today's cut throat competition in car industry and the similarity of products of different manufacturers providing similar features available at highly competitive prices. Rising incomes, better financing for vehicles and improved roads are in totality drivers for strong growth of the automotive and hence car sector in India. The major players in this sector are TATA Motors, Maruti-Suzuki India Ltd, Hyundai Motors India Ltd, General Motors etc and new entrants like Audi, Mercedes-benz, Volkswagen and Nissan. Current study focuses and current scenario and trends being undergoing into the motor car industry. In the present study several dimensions of the Indian car industry has discussed. Present study will be helpful to the researcher for the better understanding of the car industry, that to specifically in India. Also this study will give the dimensions to car lovers for the understanding of various trends of the car market...
Modeling volatility in the new era of High Frequency Trading has become very important phenomenon. Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (ARCH) (Engle, 1982) and generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity(GARCH) ,proposed by Bollerslev (1986) models have been very helpful for financial time series over period of time to model volatility. We have proposed one mathematical approach for financial time series which uses multiple moving averages method and effective Kurtosis .Moreover risk management process to improve the algorithm and to get optimum output has also been discussed....
Dysfunctional audit behaviour is an accepted problem, associated with decreased audit quality. This\r\nstudy develops and tests a theoretical model that identifies factors contributing to dysfunctional audit\r\nbehavior. Organizational commitment and professional commitment were examined as antecedents of\r\nattitudes toward dysfunctional audit behaviour. A path analysis from a partial least squares (PLS)\r\napproach was employed based on survey results from 225 Audit Managers in Malaysia. The findings\r\nproduced evidence to show that organizational commitment was a significant predictor of dysfunctional\r\naudit behaviour. The results of the study should impact auditing procedures, hiring, training and\r\npromotion decisions, and help to minimize the occurrence and acceptance of dysfunctional audit\r\nbehaviour. The study is significant, in that, it provides a timely response to regulators concerned about\r\nthe impairment of audit quality....
Malaysia has invested multi-million ringgit on the Malaysias Multipurpose Identity Card (MyKad) initiative for the protection of citizens from terrorism as well as for effective and efficient government and private sector applications. If it is not used, the initiative is wasted. For the success of MyKad adoption, both individual and organizations need to accept this initiative. Prior studies have been conducted on individual acceptance (e.g. Yeow et al., 2007; Loo et al., 2011); however no study has been conducted on organization acceptance. This research investigates organizations (such as banks, insurance companies, unit trust agencies and hotels) acceptance of MyKad initiative. Organizations do not have MyKad; therefore, their MyKad acceptance (i.e., the dependent variable) can only be measured by their intention to use MyKad reader for identity verification of transactions such as opening a bank/unit trust account, making insurance claims and registering a hotel room. The independent variables were taken from UTAUTs (Venkatesth, 2003) four constructs (i.e. performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and facilitating conditions) and two other variables (i.e. anxiety and perceived credibility). In this preliminary study, fifty questionnaire samples were collected from two cities in Malaysia. The findings show that organizations did not have a high intention to use MyKad reader because of their lack of understanding about its benefits (performance expectancy), ease of use, social support and facilitating conditions. Recommendations were given to increase adoption....
Effective interactions depend largely on personality traits, which is a consistent and long-lasting tendency in behavior. In psychology, five major trait factors (Big Five personality traits) have been generally used to assess personality of people. The study highlights the practicality of importance-performance analysis as a means to assessing the importance of personality traits dimension that should be possessed by Malaysian graduates. The importance-performance analysis is used to evaluate the gap in personality traits possessed by Business and Technical Graduates. The study is carried out in two phases: Phase 1 which involves a focus group session and Phase 2 which focus on establishing a questionnaire appropriate to the study across a diverse range of industries. The questionnaires were distributed to managers selected from a sampling frame. Graduates personality attributes are analysed in terms of big five personality traits which include openness, conscientiousness, extroversion, agreeableness and emotional stability traits. The findings of this study suggest that Higher Education Institutions in Malaysia should target improvements on a specific personality development component pertaining to openness and extroversion personality for business management graduates, and conscientiousness personality for technical graduates as part of the curriculum development strategies of these Higher Education Institutions....
Objective of this survey was to study relationships between tools of ethics\r\nmanagement and organizational trust. The present survey has been conducted using\r\ndescriptive-field-correlation method. Statistical population includes administrative employees\r\nof Education Organization in Kermanshah province that are three-hundred persons and\r\nsample volume has been selected equal to one-hundred seventy persons. Chi-square test (x2),\r\nassimilation amount of agreement, Fi-Kramer measurement scale and SPSS software have\r\nbeen used in this survey. There is a strong significant relationship between tools of ethics management and\r\norganizational trust, since the obtained sig=0.000< 5% is based on the main research\r\nhypothesis and Fi-Kramer is equal to 0.795. Using ethics management tools in the organization under study will be leaded to\r\ngrowth and improvement of organizational trust level....
