In this paper, the electrical submersible pump (ESP) is combined with information and communication technologies (ICT) to diagnose the operation status and soundness of the ESP. The ICT convergence provides users with maintenance and repair information through history management and remote control in case of failure. The proposed system includes a monitoring unit (MU) that senses the operating state of the ESP, a monitoring control unit (MCU) that transmits the sensed information to internal and external databases, and a monitoring system that allows users to check the status information. The server and embedded system can monitor the operation status of the submersible pump by storing sensor values in the database and displaying them on the screen. The embedded system retrieves the sensor values stored in the database and performs individual and complex diagnoses. The diagnosis results are sent to the server and status information to the monitoring control unit. The diagnosis of the submersible pump was divided into 23 individual sensor classifications, and a multilayer perceptron was implemented. Weights were set through learning and testing. Heart rate monitoring is especially important for aging individuals because it is associated with longevity and cardiovascular risk. Typically, this vital parameter can be measured using wearable sensors, which are widely available commercially. However, wearable sensors have some disadvantages in terms of acceptability, especially when used by elderly people. Thus, contactless solutions have increasingly attracted the scientific community in recent years. Camera-based photoplethysmography (also known as remote photoplethysmography) is an emerging method of contactless heart rate monitoring that uses a camera and a processing unit on the hardware side, and appropriate image processing methodologies on the software side. This paper describes the design and implementation of a novel pipeline for heart rate estimation using a commercial and low-cost camera as the input device. The pipeline’s performance was tested and compared on a desktop PC, a laptop, and three different ARM-based embedded platforms (Raspberry Pi 4, Odroid N2+, and Jetson Nano). The results showed that the designed and implemented pipeline achieved an average accuracy of about 96.7% for heart rate estimation, with very low variance (between 1.5% and 2.5%) across processing platforms, user distances from the camera, and frame resolutions. Furthermore, benchmark analysis showed that the Odroid N2+ platform was the most convenient in terms of CPU load, RAM usage, and average execution time of the algorithmic pipeline....
Identifying the association between long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) and micro-RNA (miRNA) is of great significance for the treatment of diseases by interfering with the combination of miRNA and messenger RNA (mRNA). Although many efforts and resources have been invested to identify lncRNA-miRNA associations (LMAs), clinical trials are still expensive and laborious. Nevertheless, the experiments also need to consult a large number of side effects. Therefore, novel computer-aided models are urgently needed to predict LMAs. This paper proposed a semantic embedded bipartite graph network for predicting lncRNAmiRNA associations (SEBGLMA), which provided a novel feature extraction method by integrating K-mer segmentation, word2vec, Gaussian interaction profile (GIP), and graph convolution network (GCN). Concretely, the attribute characteristics of RNA sequences are extracted by K-mer segmentation and word2vec modules. Afterward, the adjacent matrix is completed by GIP self-similarity. Then, the attribute characteristics and adjacent matrix are fed into GCN for embedding behavior features. Finally, the features are sent into the rotation forest (RoF) for detecting potential LMAs. The average accuracy, precision, sensitivity, specificity, Matthews correlation coefficient, and F1-Score are 87.09%, 87.66%, 87.03%, 87.84%, 74.18%, and 86.99% on the benchmark data set. For fairly validating the performance of our model, we conducted various comparisons with different classifiers. Furthermore, the case studies of hsa-miR-497-5P and NONHSAT022145.2 are also established. The results of comparisons and case studies further illustrated that our method is anticipated to become a robust and reliable tool for the identification of LMAs....
With the widespread use of embedded systems, chaos is a nonlinear system with certainty and complexity. It is an important topic in the field of information security at present, and it is an effective way to apply to embedded systems. It has great practical value in theory and in practice. This research mainly focuses on the encryption technology of SQLite embedded database and proposes an improved sparrow algorithm (Logistic Chaos Sparrow Search Algorithm, LCSSA) based on Logistic Chaos Map. It shows that the security level of SQLite in web development is higher than that of conventional Access. The population is initialized by the logistic chaotic mapping method, which improves the quality of the initial solution, increases the diversity of the population, and reduces the risk of premature maturity of the algorithm. The initial value y0 determines the encryption method of the nonlinear function. Taking the integer variable (int) as an example, the value range is -231~231. It can be seen that the key space is sufficient to prevent various conventional attacks. When the key is the wrong key, decryption will not yield any data. It can be found that encryption and decryption are very sensitive to the key, which is also determined by the sensitivity of chaotic encryption system to the initial value. The benchmark function compares the performance of the improved algorithm with the algorithm before the improvement and compares it with the SSA. The LCSSA has better convergence performance, higher accuracy, and better stability....
