The digital age has brought a degree of convenience to both organizations and individuals, as well as some negative effects. How to seek to benefit from the use of digital technology and to avoid its adverse effects as much as possible is an important topic to be discussed. We used literature analysis to conduct a detailed analysis of the work characteristics of female knowledge workers in the digital context in detail from the aspects of work-family conflict, the complexity of digital technology, data security, entrepreneurial willingness, and career growth. It enriches the knowledge of enterprises about the work characteristics of female knowledge workers in the digital context, and improves the scientific decision-making ability of management for enterprises, which can provide certain references for enterprises to improve the satisfaction and happiness of female knowledge workers. This study addresses remote workers’ engagement and their intent to leave or stay during the COVID-19 Pandemic in the United States. Data were collected through an online survey of 601 remote workers in the US. A structural equation model (SEM) was hypothesized to ascertain the relationship between remote employee engagement, intent to stay, and intent to leave. First, remote employee engagement was measured using EENDEED, a nine-item engagement instrument. Second, intent to stay was measured using a sevenitem instrument, and third, intent to leave was measured using a three-item scale. The results of the SEM confirmed the existence of strong positive relationship between engagement and positive intent to stay, as well as intent to leave, suggesting that an increase by one standard point of remote employee engagement would result in an increase of positive intent to stay by .85 standard point, and an increase of intent to leave by .65 standard point. This research provided empirical evidence of the “Great Resignation” effect on engaged workers during the COVID-19 pandemic....
The impact of human resource accounting on the financial performance of some selected food and beverages in Nigeria is the focus of this study. EViews 10.0 was used to analyse the panel data for eight of these food and beverage companies from 2002 to 2021. The findings of the study showed that staff training, development costs and employee welfare costs both considerably improved business performance, while employee safety costs did not. The return on assets (ROA) of the selected food and beverage companies in Nigeria, however, was significantly impacted negatively by recruiting costs over the study periods. As a result, the study came to the conclusion that human resource accounting is required to sustain financial performance of firms. The study therefore, recommends that management in particular firms regularly do both off-the-job training and on-the-job training rather than viewing staff training as an irregular occurrence....
This research delves into the utilization of complex structures by Peruvian business groups as a means to evade the payment of labor benefits, specifically focusing on profit sharing. The primary objective of this study is to conduct an in-depth analysis of profit distribution among workers within Peruvian business groups from 1993 to 2022, with the aim of identifying potential instances of legal non-compliance regarding profit sharing. Employing a qualitative-quantitative approach, commonly known as a mixedmethods approach, the research follows a fundamental non-experimental longitudinal design. The study population encompasses 217 business groups listed on the Lima Stock Exchange, with the sample selected through convenience sampling, considering readily accessible records, such as those pertaining to the Backus business group. The documentary analysis technique was employed, utilizing judicial resolutions as the primary instrument for investigation. Analysis of these resolutions revealed that, in cases adjudicated by the Peruvian Judiciary, it was determined that Unión de Cervecerías Peruanas Backus y Johnston SAA and Empresa San Ignacio S.A. are, in fact, a single company, wherein the total amount owed to the workers of Empresa San Ignacio S.A. for profit sharing remained unpaid. Consequently, the codefendants were ordered to jointly fulfill the outstanding profit shares owed to their workers....
The shortage of human resources is a worldwide phenomenon that affects every organization, impacting on the smooth running and performance of its structures. Health establishments are no exception, and are in turn faced with a growing shortage of the two key players in healthcare systems responsible for the care offered to citizens, namely doctors and nurses. A number of factors linked to the individual and his or her working environment iuence the decision of public sector doctors to leave their jobs. With this in mind, and in order to identify the various determinants and factors responsible for the process of voluntary departure, a qualitative study was carried out with several stakeholders and experts in the healthcare sector to anticipate this behavior, which negatively affects the performance of these care structures. Analysis of the study results highlighted a number of important concepts for further study, namely insecurity at work, geographical remoteness and the lack of leadership and management procedures and standards....
