The involvement of private concessionaire in the delivery of public infrastructure worldwide is\r\napparent in reducing the budgetary burden on the governments part specifically due to the major\r\ndownturn in the global economy. Their involvement varies from concessionaire, privatization to\r\npartnerships. Looking at the most current type of project delivery approach procured around the\r\nglobe, which is known as Public Private Partnerships (PPP), although the opportunities are widely\r\nopened for the private concessionaires to partake in the delivery of public infrastructure projects\r\nwith numerous incentives by the government, their responses are still minimal. Their reluctance is\r\nobserved due to the current scenario in the PPP implementation involving the development of\r\nmonopolies by certain groups of private concessionaires in Malaysia, which consequently reduces\r\nthe healthy competition among concessionaires. Therefore, this paper is materialized with the aim\r\nof determining the elements of relational contract, which can improve the current delivery of public\r\ninfrastructure project and subsequently eradicate the private concessionaires lack of enthusiasm.\r\nQuestionnaire surveys on 22 respondents of construction industry players are undertaken to\r\ndetermine the elements of relational contract suitable to be adopted in public infrastructure\r\ndelivery in Malaysia in encouraging the involvement of private concessionaires. The results show\r\nthat relational contract elements of clearly defined scope, integrated project team, mutual\r\nalignment of goals and open honest communication should be included in the relational contract\r\nelements frameworks due to its potential in overcoming the current recession of private\r\nconcessionaires initiatives and ultimately improving the public infrastructure delivery in Malaysia....
Food labels, and more particularly geographical indication labels, such as PDO2 or PGI3 have\r\nbecome increasingly frequent in response to recent food crises and technological developments\r\nsuch as GMOs. They are expected to offer food safety guarantees due to their traceability and\r\nauthentication as well as high organoleptic qualities linked to their origin. They are likely to\r\naffect the consumer within the same manner than sensory brands do.\r\nThe purpose of this paper is to examine to what extent a food product with a region of origin\r\nlabel, considered as a specific sensory brand, affects consumer preferences in comparison with\r\nan official quality label such as PDO or PGI labels.\r\nFrom qualitative and quantitative data analyses we conclude that food products with regional\r\nreference could affect consumer preferences with a larger extent than food products protected\r\nby official labels. Emotional experience has been found to affect the group involving those who\r\nprefer regional food products more considerably than the other factors....
This paper suggests and tests a scale to measure perceived deception in advertising based on\r\nthe recommendations of Churchill (1979) and Gerbing and Anderson (1988). A literature\r\nreview and a qualitative study allowed us to generate a set of items. The results of two studies,\r\nbased on a sample of Tunisian consumers, allowed us to identify a two-dimensional structure.\r\nReliability and validity were confirmed....
Thanks to the study of 124 firms listed on the SBF 250 index, the researchers were able to\r\nidentify the determinants of information asymmetry between firms'' managers and investors,\r\nusing panel data over the period ranging from 1999 to 2008. The results of the random effects\r\nmodel show that most variables are not significant. There is a problem of heteroscedasticity\r\nand a problem of autocorrelation. In this regard, the researchers have used the method of\r\ngeneralized least squares to overcome these problems. The results obtained, by using this\r\nmethod, show that the trading volume, as well as the volatility of stock returns, has a positive\r\nand significant effect on information asymmetry. The coefficient of the insiders'' trading\r\nvariable is high what shows the relevance of this variable in the explanation of the information\r\nasymmetry problem. However, the stock price variable has a negative effect. These results are\r\nconclusive to corroborate the thesis of variables relevance resulting from the theory of markets\r\nmicrostructure....
The objective of this research is to build a structural model which studies the causal relations\r\nbetween the concept of childs attitude and identification to the brand characters, at first, and\r\ntheir impact on the prescription child-mother.\r\nA review of literature and a frame of reflection will allow us to limit different relations between\r\nthese variables, underestimated till now, to propose finally a conceptual model of\r\nunderstanding the prescription child-mother.\r\nWe note that the morphological and psychological characteristics of the brand characters and\r\nchilds socio-demographic characteristics will be integrated into this model....
