Last recent years has witnessed various data hiding techniques, steganographic approach and watermarking techniques in the field of speech processing particularly for various speech coders. It becomes indispensable to secure information transmission between the sender and receiver because of rapid growth of digital communication and information technology. As a consequence, steganography/data hiding approach introduces strongly to hide information and to communicate a secret data in an appropriate multimedia carrier, e.g., image, audio and video files. The basic concept of data hiding is one data stream concealed into another one for a special purpose. The objective of this paper is to highlight of all the recent developments of data hiding techniques in specifically ETSI GSM 06.10 RPE-LTP speech coder along with discussion of experimental results. With respect to future development this paper gives enough space for embedding capacity along with fair amount of speech quality based on reviewed articles. We believe that this paper will not only provide the key references but also provide enough background for the beginners....
